Two schools from our Schools of Sanctuary network, Lawnswood High School and New Bewerley Community School, took part in the national City of Sanctuary AGM this year on 27th January 2014.
Lawnswood High School created a detailed display about becoming a School of Sanctuary and about the fantastic work theyโve been doing. The display boards were well received and attracted lots of interest.
New Bewerley Community School sent delegates from their Global Dimension Club with two teachers, and presented the welcome banner they created with ways to welcome newly arrived children to their school. The children and teachers also met the Lord Mayor and contributed their experience to the national Schools of Sanctuary workshop.
Leeds Schools of Sanctuary thanks the children and teachers for their contribution. Well done!
