On Wednesday 2nd March, at 12.15pm in the Common Room at Ebor Court, Skinner Street, STAR is going to host a lunchtime campaign meeting to encourage people to participate in the “Safe Routes Save Lives” campaign. This involves either signing an online petition, or also making a small paper boat which will be sent with the petition to David Cameron in mid-March. We, along with all the STAR groups across the country, hope to be able to make just short of 4,000 paper boats – aiming to represent each identified individual who drowned last year in their search for safety from persecution.
